Renting Video Games Saves Money
Have you ever thought about renting video games online? After years of spending lots of money on games, I decided to give it a try. After all, many of the games I have purchased in the past have hardly been played at all and probably will not be played again. When you consider that how much new games cost, this is a huge waste of money.
Renting video games is a much better option for me now. There are several companies that rent games online, so I tried out three of them. This is something that I should have done long, long, ago, as I discovered that there are several good reasons to be renting games rather than buying them.
I like the fact that I can play any game I want to see if it is a good game or a bad game. This is nice because there are so many games to chose from and some of them are just not that great. This way I don’t have to waste money on a game that I end up hating. If I like it, I can always buy it later. I’ll be saving quite a bit of money by doing this.
There are some video gamers that like to take a new game and play it from start to finish over several days. Once they’re done with the game, it just sits on the shelf collecting dust as they move on to the next game. For these type of players, renting video games can save them a ton of money. You could knock out 3 or 4 games a month for less than $20, compared to spending $150 to $200 or more buying the games. Even if you only rented and played one game a month, it is still cheaper to rent than to buy.
You also have a huge selection of games to chose from with a game rental service. The largest service has a selection of over 7000 games to chose from. These include games for all the major consoles like the Playstation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and others. Brick and mortar stores such as Blockbuster do not even come close to this kind of selection. You can chose from currently released games or games that have been out for several years.
You also can’t beat the convenience of having the games sent right to your house. I hated having to drive all around trying to find a game I wanted to rent, only to have to drive right back when I was done to return it. If it’s a long drive to your local video game store, than you are going to love this feature.
You can also forget about having to worry about returning the game on time to avoid getting hit for late fees. Most online video game rental companies allow you to keep the game as long as you like. It doesn’t matter if you go through the game in a couple of days, or a couple of weeks. Return it when you are ready and they will send out your next game.
There’s no need to spend money on buying games when you can rent them for a small percentage of the price. But do not search for Netflix game rentals, they just rent DVD’s. There are several great services that rent video games online.
