A Few Appropriate Places Where You Can Play Airsoft

July 18th, 2010

Airsoft may not be the most popular of sports for people to play but it is certainly worth having a go at it. If you are unsure as to the best places to play Airsoft then perhaps I can shed a bit of light on that in this article.

If you are aware of any woodland near to where you live this could be a great place to play Airsoft. It does not have to be a big forest but as long as there are quite a few trees and bushes then you should be okay.

There is nothing quite the same as playing this game in the wooded terrain where you can find lots of places to hide and attack your foe.

The main beauty of playing in a forest is the fact that you are out of the way of any houses or dwellings that are frequented. It is not nice when non enthusiasts of this sport are caught in the middle of your Airsoft game. It can spoil it for both you and the non enthusiast who may just be going about there normal daily routine.

Another option is to find one of the official Airsoft fields to play your game in. It could be that you are lucky enough to find one close to where you live and you do not have to drive to get there.

But as I said earlier this is not the most popular sport in the world so the chances of an official field being near to where you live are slightly limited. But if you are one of the lucky ones then you should take full advantage of being near to one of the fields.

If fields, woodland or forests are not an option for you then maybe you know somebody with a big back garden that likes to play Airsoft. This is also a very good choice of venue for plying Airsoft. That is because it is privately owned so there should be no interference from non-enthusiasts and you could change the back garden quite regularly to have the feel of different terrains.

This is just my own opinions of where Airsoft can be played and if you think about it carefully you will probably come up with a few more alternative ideas yourself. Wherever you decide to play just go out and enjoy yourself.

Mario Kart Wii Is Amazing

November 1st, 2009

While I’ve enjoyed many video games through the course of my life, perhaps my favorite has been the new Mario Kart game for the Nintendo Wii. I can’t seem to put this game down and it’s been a year since I bought it.

If I told you that just about anyone could play this game and pick it up quickly, I wouldn’t be lying. I have a five year old cousin who was able to win a race in the novice mode her first time trying.

Mario Kart Wii is a truly special game. It takes a classic format that achieved great success on the N64 and the Super Nintendo, and transposes it to the Wii, taking full advantage of the motion sensing controls.

The best part about this game is the Wii wheel. It’s a wireless add-on that allows you to use your regular Wii remote to guide the car, just as you would with a typical steering wheel. You wouldn’t believe how well it works.

There are so many different boards and race tracks too. With all kinds of little add-ons, the scenery is beautiful and the tracks are really intricate. With plenty of shortcut opportunities, it’ll be a while before you fully master this track. I must mention the online mode too.

In online mode, you’re able to join races of anywhere from 2 to 11 cars. The best part about it is that it’s all live, and your opponents are other owners of the game. It’s a really enjoyable challenge, and I’m seriously addicted to it. There’s also a point structure that rewards you when you win.

The ranking system is great in the sense that it really lets you know how good you are compared to other people out there. This feeds right into my competitive spirit and makes things a lot of fun.

I’ve talked enough about the game. You can see that I absolutely love it, and there’s no doubt in my mind that you will too.
