More Browsers for You To Use

February 5th, 2010

Online surfing is not merely a hobby but very educational as well. Because Internet is a very efficient tool, looking for information by doing online research is really useful and convenient. As long as you are connected to the web, you can access data without limits. However, there are boundaries in terms of online browsing.

One of the common issues is the bandwidth of the website. Another one is sporadic connection. Both of them show that the page can’t be displayed and there is nothing you can do but wait until the session resume again. There is one issue however that you can work with if the errors you are getting are from Windows. Sometimes you may get a message on the screen about “Windows Error Reporting” with a question if you wan to send it or not. The reality is, whichever you choose, it will still not solve the problem. This faulty application commonly happens with Internet explorer.

Aside from Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox is one of the most popular internet browsers. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Opera are the top three browsers being used by online surfers. With the current browsers, you may also improve your surfing experience by using browser extensions. More Firefox extensions, Internet add-ons and RSS readers are available on the Internet.

It is nice to have several browsers in one computer because it gives you more alternatives. In case one of them crashed or no longer working, you can switch to the other one. Plus, the settings from one browser can be used on another one while setting it up.

Internet Explorer is the built-in browser for Windows. Right now, most platforms supports IE6, IE7, and IE8. During the last few months since the release if Internet Exlplorer 8.0, several bugs and issues are present just like freezing windows and automatic shutdown or browser and worse the entire system. This has been resolved through the most recent Windows updates and so far, users have no more complaints.

To improve Internet Explorer installed on the computer, several add ons were released by Windows. Internet Explorer 8 has accelerators to speed up accessibility of information with the use of maps, web searches, translations, and blogging. In the end, the latest enhancement brings out the best on this browser such as faster performance, smarter address bar, better privacy protection, and the compatibility view specifically designed for older browsers.

Mozilla Firefox is built on the pre-release version of the Gecko 1.9.2 platform that is why it has richer internet application and more user-friendly interface. Even if the free download on the website have a totally different GUI as compared to Internet Explorer, original settings can also be imported. Several engaging features are present in this browser such as third party software integration to prevent crashes, simultaneous scripting for faster reload, and plug-in alerts.

As an online surfer, using Mozilla Firefox is sometimes more convenient because even after accidentally closing the browser, you can still restore the previous session. Settings can be also modified easily. There has been a lot of improvement on the performance, stability and security compared to the very initial Namoroka release.

Other browsers that are commonly used include Opera, Avant Browser, and Google Chrome. Avant works the same way as IE by having multiple browsing and unwanted pop-up blocker and flash ads. Opera has a very good reputation as well for maintaining its integrity as the fastest, smallest and having the most features among other browsers. And lastly, Google Chrome is Big G’s attempt to hide web browser and highlights the applications and pages viewed by users. It is said to be amazingly fast but there are few compatibility issues.

February 3rd, 2010

To name a few, we have Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots, Final Fantasy XIII, and Resident Evil IV. Due to its popularity, most gamers focus on these four and keep supporting the game series.

Devil May Cry 4 is the most recent edition of Devil May Cry (DMC) series available for XBOX 360 and PS3. The player takes the role of Nero, who’s armed with his sword named Red Queen and his Blue Rose Revolver and his Devil Bringer, his demonic right arm and Dante. In the entire course of the missions, player can switch back from Nero to Dante. The gameplay is the same as before focusing on the stylistic combat encounter giving you more combos and minimizing damage, that way, more unique attacks gains higher points as well. A new feature is added called “Proud Souls” which can be attained after every mission and can be exchanged to purchase skills that can be sold back for the same price.

The game received lots of favorable reviews, where it was commended for being entertainingly stylish just the same as MGS4. Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots also called MGS4 is a tactical, stealth, espionage action game developed by Hideo Kojima for the PS3 console which is the latest sequel to the MGS series. MGS4 is one of the best selling games offered by PS3 that has already received numerous credits and awards from different gaming publications making it the greatest game of the current generation.

The game has a number of new features that’s sure to interest any gamer such as the Solid Eye which highlights items and enemies. It has also threat ring functionality that allows the player to measure the distance of an enemy away from him. Here, you may use stealth, normal combat features and CQC. Hideo Kojima has introduced another masterwork and MGS4 will remain to be one of the major reasons for gamers to avail the PS3 console.

With regard to Final Fantasy XIII. The reviews show that developers keep the same gaming platform just the same as old Final Fantasy XII but this time, more twists has been added to make the tactical commanding base battle entertaining at the same time. The objective is to make the game appear the same as the fights scenes in Final Fantasy Advent Children. Final Fantasy XIII offers unique fighting system which is apart from the world map. There are a number of changes that has been done to improve the gameplay and this includes the ability of characters to chain combos and cause an enemy to be on an “exhausted” state wherein the enemy stands helpless and takes damage twice the normal amount. Overall, the game has a lot of new things to offer including a deep-storyline which is surely to pique’s any final fantasy fan’s interest.

The latest installment to the Resident Evil series is similar to Resident Evil IV with numerous, impressively made cut-scenes and sensitive controls. This time, the player controls Chris Redfield, a recurring protagonist of the series along with a new Sheva Alomar, with the same over-the-shoulder point of view. Aside from the multiplayer format, there are more weapons included but unlike before, the weapons can be equipped while on the field instead of pausing the game and gaining access from the inventory.

This game allows online accessibility; it can be played by two players at the same time through online mode but there will be times that players need to separate during the game to accomplish own missions. There are also recurring adversaries that will surprise fans of the title.

Generally, the game still posses the same gaming atmosphere found on previous version. This is highly suggested game for all the PS3 gamers.

Copy Wii Games - Step by Step Explanation

August 14th, 2009
by Dana Goldberg

Love your Nintendo Wii games? It’s so easy to scratch or break a game disk, but so expensive to replace. Happily, it’s also easy to make back up copies of your games.

Copying games for the Nintendo Wii requires that you have a reliable computer, high-speed Internet access, an optical drive that reads both CDs and DVDs and specialized software obtainable from a website.

If you’d like to make back-up of your favorite games, head to a search engine. There are many to choose from so be careful to choose one that is safe, and reliable. You should look for a website, that offers money back guarantee. It is also important they offer adware and virus protection to make sure your PC is protected. If you have a Mac you’ll want to check to see if they are compatible before downloading.

When you look for sites, you usually compare prices but remember that you get what you pay for. Cheap sites usually offer unreliable and glitchy software. Game copying software usually costs around thirty to forty dollars. So when you come upon a site that is much cheaper than that, you probably will be compromising quality. Or a site that is a lot more expensive is probably only overcharging. You should be safe if you stay within the average price range.

Upon selecting your desired site, using it is simple. Once installed to your machine, the software is set to create duplicates of games after they’re downloaded. This program is much like an ordinary CD creation tool. It creates an image of the game once placed in the disc drive. This image is then sent to a blank CD where it gets loaded. As with many other pieces of software, Wii games are easily replicable and no differences can be detected between a back-up and its source.

It’s crucial to note a modified Wii console is required to use any copied backup games. A normal Wii will not allow this. You will have to install a modchip to bypass the copy protection software. Afterwards, you will be able to play backup games as though they were the official copies. Backup games can be used to keep the originals in brand new condition. When you learn how to copy the Wii games, you will never have to worry about scratched discs again.

The Easiest Way to Copy Nintendo Wii Games

July 20th, 2009
by Dana Goldberg

Since their launch a few years back, the WII series of gaming consoles from Nintendo have enjoyed great popularity among the gaming fraternity and has managed to thwart all manner of competition especially that which was posed by the Xbox series. The WII games that are available on CD and DVD’s are highly priced and are very fragile. Even a small scratch can damage the disk and make you lose your investment. So how to copy wii games becomes the question?

The fact that these games do not come at dime a dozen and are pretty expensive also adds to the worry. The best option available to the avid gamer is to make copies of the WII game disks that he purchases so that he can save the master disks and use the copies for day to day gaming. Backing up your master CD ensures that you protect your investment and also lengthens the lifespan of your copy.

The fact that the WII games are quite expensive to purchase makes it even more necessary to make copies of them incase you end up losing your original master disk or damaging it. When the games belonging to the WII series were launched, they were made to be piracy proof and could not be copied from the disks on which they were sold.

With the passing of time, new and innovative softwares sprung up that could enable a user to copy the game on his WII disk to any other storage device of choice and that too quite easily. Though the gaming industry has come down heavily on piracy and most of these softwares are now no longer effective, there are still some very good automated softwares that even a layman who has no technical knowledge can use to copy your WII game to another storage device.

Making a copy of your WII game does not require you to be a technical expert or well versed with computers and softwares. You would need good software to get started and there are many online tutorials and video guides that teach you how to go about the task of copying your WII game.

The only requirement is to have good automated software that lets you copy the contents of the disk as an image file onto your computer’s hard drive. This image file can be burned onto a disk and voila you have a copy of your game CD ready.

Making a back up copy of your games would be a great way to save on the money you spend on replacements. The best idea would be to make a couple of copies and then store away the master CD in a safe place where it would remain secure while you put the copies to frequent use.
